Butler Byers Hail Insurance is operated by a staff of dedicated, highly trained people. All are actively involved in administering the Butler Byers Hail Insurance program throughout the prairies. The key staff members are:

The company President , Drew Byers, is a direct descendant of one of the company's original founders and has been in the insurance business for over 35 years.

Scott Byers has a Bachelor of Commerce and holds his CAIB designation for general insurance. Scott has experience in crop hail insurance since 1996. He is currently the Chair of the Hail Insurance Council and also serves as an Officer on the Canadian Crop Hail Association.

The company controller, Barry Slowski, provides technical business support for the company operations. Barry is a B.Comm with over 30 years experience.

Margaret Neufeldt handles the day-to-day office operations and is the person who makes sure your questions are answered and that we have capable and friendly summer staff. Margaret also looks after our bookeeping.

The claims process is supervised by Don Cousins who has been actively involved in crop damage research and who has been involved in setting a common standard for adjustment practices in the hail industry.

Our Chief Adjuster, Walter Mudge, is an experienced adjuster who has many years of field experience. Along with Don, Walter also travels to meet with our agents each spring to make sure they are ready for the coming hail season.

Lyle Franklin has been with with Barkers since 1990 and stayed with Butler Byers since 2000. Lyle has many years of field adjusting experience and leadership and has just taken over management duties in 2008.

Corky Mullen has been with Butler Byers since 2000 and has expanded her role to include office production and provides friendly and efficient service for our brokers and hail adjusters.

Barry Anderson has been hail adjusting since 1985. Together with Lito he has been integral helping Butler Byers Hail succeed in Manitoba. Barry is also involved with marketing and agent visits.
